That's my boy

So I totally stole this from Meghan Boston. What a great way to remember this age. Mommy through Corban's eyes.

Q: What is something that mom always says to you?

A:I'll be right back ( I DO say this alot.)

Q: What makes mom happy?

A: No hitting and when I put a marble in ( We have a "good choice" jar. When he makes a good choice, he gets a marble. When it's full, we get to go to the zoo, chuck-e-cheese, etc.)

Q: What makes mom sad?

A: Hitting

Q: How does mom make you laugh?

A: when you put me high in the sky

Q: What was your mom like as a child?

A: the same

Q: How old is your mom?

A: 2

Q: How tall is your mom?

A:I'm just kinda short put mommy is BBBIIIGGG. (as he is reaching for the sky. Lovely)

Q: What is her favorite thing to do?

A: eat chocolate (that one cracked me up)

Q: What does your mom do when your not around?

A: eat more chocolate and want to spend time with me

Q: What is your mom good at?

Goodnight sweethearts. . .

As many of you know, before I had children, I had this WONDERFUL ability to fall asleep anywhere. Watching a movie, in the car, at the movie theater. Quinn is still able to use this talent. His is more mastered than mine. It seems that our children inherited this trait also.So sleepy.

Corban getting his nightly breathing treatment.

Notice the sippy, stuffed kitty and koala. Life is not good without these at bedtime.

He REALLY takes after his daddy.

OH the weather outside is . . .

So we had a BLIZZARD!! Yippee. Corban was in heaven. It looks like night time but its really THAT early in the morning. This is Corban's Batman pose.Notice the large pile of snow in the back. Porter was enjoying the snow until he found out that you can't crawl up snow. It' gets on your face. When you go to wipe your face, your gloves have snow on them also. Then you cry.

Corban having a blast.

Porter happier in my arms.

It's the WWF

So , this is how the boys like to entertain themselves. Porter usually starts . . . Then Corban makes his move. .
Porter is on the run

Corban trying to get him to play again

Porter agrees.

And the answer is. . .

As many of you know, my little monkey has been sick a few times. We have been going through ALOT of tests to find out what is making him sick. And now for the results. . . He's got two things going on. First- Allergies- pretty much to any thing that you can find in the south. Dust, grass, trees, mold, etc. These allergies cause asthma. Second- He has an genetic disorder called IgA deviancy. What does that mean? (I would google it to get the details, I can't spell all of that medical stuff) Pretty much your blood makes two kinds of antibodies- IgG and IgA. The IgA ones help to fight off infections in the "severe" areas like the lungs and GI track. He does not produce alot of the IgA antibody. Which causes him to have an upset stomach and upper respiratory infections. (Hey, this is sounding familiar) It's a pretty common condition, one in about 500 kids have it. So, now we know what's going on. Now what can we do about it? Nothing. Yep, that's right. The allergies can be treated. Right now we are waiting before starting shots. The IgA? Not treatable. Isn't that nice? Why even tell me that he has it?

It's times like this when I know the Lord is watching out for me and my family. My mind keeps going over all of the terrible things that he could have had and has been tested for. We are blessed. True we can't do anything for his condition but it's not that bad. I can live with it. He can LIVE with it. The Lord really does watch out for me and I want to thank him for this blessing.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Mist

A few weeks ago, we got about 1/4 of an inch of snow. Some of us did not like it.. . Some of us loved it. . .

Notice there is NONE on the streets. Yet schools were closed. Go figure
